Houses sold in May 2021 to Foreigner in Turkey

In May, Foreigners bought total of 1,776 houses in comparison to the same month of the previous year, housing sales surged by 106.5 percent. Istanbul ranked first in housing sales to foreigners, with 818 purchases. Antalya came on the second rank with 341 sales, followed by Ankara with 106 sales, Mersin with 80 sales, and Sakarya with 75 sales. House sales to foreigners grew by 24.9 percent in January-May as compared to the same period of previous year, to 15,740 houses. The majority of the housing sales were to Iraqi citizens. Iraqi citizens purchased 239 properties in Turkey in May. Followed Iran with 231 properties, followed by the Russian Federation with 119 properties, Afghanistan with 98 properties, and Germany with 87 properties.
